As believers, we are not permitted to opt-out of assembling. An area that has rising popularity as an alternate option for assembling is Online Service. Many congregations have online communities including live streams of their services, online giving, etc. Unless we are physically unable to attend in person, we cannot choose convenience over community.

Yoga, spiritual gurus, there is a new spiritual fad every year. All of it under the premise to help you achieve the best you—all of it perverting what God has called us to do: Die to ourselves. Not pamper ourselves.

The Hebrew month of Elul is a month that is set aside to traditionally focus on repentance and our need to make reconciliation with others and with God.

A biblical apocalypse is not a one-time event.  It isn’t the end of the world.  It isn’t something we should commercialize or use as a gimmick.  It is a transformation of one’s entire perspective that God wants to change, and that should lead to life and the greatness of God being restored to this earth.   

Despite this, early in the Church’s history, Christians moved away from celebrating the biblical festivals. In modern times, believers within the Messianic, Hebrew Roots, and Torah Movements have begun to celebrate the biblical festivals again, realizing these festivals point to the work of Christ on the cross.

Now that we see that unbelief is a resistive force in our hearts that wants to maintain control of our lives, it becomes a little easier to see how we can overcome it.

I hope this list encourages you to take a deeper look at your walk. As believers in Messiah, we are all members of the Commonwealth of Israel, God’s Kingdom, but are we being effective members?
