The Feast of Tabernacles was one of three pilgrimage festivals (the others were the Feast of Unleavened Bread and the Feast of Weeks). The men of Israel would travel to the Temple in Jerusalem and build their booths (sukkot) around the city.

Is Torah for everyone? Or is it just for Jews? This is a major question facing many Messianic brethren today. It is the same question that was raised in the New Testament.

Not everyone who says to Me, “‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.” Many will say to Me on that day, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?” And then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.” MAT 7:21-23

Once the hurdle of “the Law of Moses is no more” is overcome, Messianics are suddenly faced with “how can I learn the Torah?” Like anything worth learning, there are steps in the process and you need a teacher to help you get started. This article is for that purpose.

Through the course of your life I’m sure you have heard the phrase, “the ends do not justify the means.” In the phrase, the “ends” represents a good outcome and the “means” represents the method or actions used to get that result. The most basic definition of this phrase surrounds the idea that one should not act immorally or unethically in the process of doing good. The simplest example is you shouldn’t steal money so you can give it to charity.

The first effect of eating the forbidden fruit of the knowledge of good and evil was the discovery of their own nakedness.

Passover – the Feast of Redemption – is a day of reckoning! Do you know what purpose it serves? Do you know it is one of the commanded feasts? Do you know it is an eternal feast that we will celebrate in the kingdom?

We learn about the kiss of Esau in the Torah when Jacob meets Esau and they embrace each other.

Yeshua used this same observance to initiate the New Covenant with His disciples; therefore, this feast takes on added significance for those of us who believe in Yeshua the Messiah and keep the commandments of the Lord.
