What is Passover?

As we approach Passover this year of 2012, we again remind ourselves of who we are and who we believe in. To accomplish that, we remember the instructions of Passover to memorialize what God did for us and how it explains the Messiah’s redemption as the Lamb of God. One particular aspect of God’s instruction is to consider ourselves being “passed over” as though we were those in Egypt many years ago. So emphatic is this internalization instruction, we are told to tell our own children that the Lord “passed over” us as though we were there. Here is how Moses said it.

Now this day will be a memorial to you, and you shall celebrate it as a feast to the Lord; throughout your generations you are to celebrate it as a permanent ordinance… And it will come about when your children will say to you, “What does this rite mean to you?” that you shall say, “It is a Passover sacrifice to the Lord who passed over the houses of the sons of Israel in Egypt when He smote the Egyptians, but spared OUR homes.” EXO 12:14, 26-27

While Passover is an historical event of long ago, God’s instruction says that we are to teach our children in every generation that it happened to us.

This is not over-emphasized in this application. Moses elaborates on this instruction a little later stating that every succeeding generation is to keep the Passover in the same manner as those who actually came out of Egypt.

It is a night to be observed for the Lord for having brought them out from the land of Egypt; this night is for the Lord, to be observed by all the sons of Israel throughout their generations. EXO 12:42

In the same manner means that we are to tell our children as the first generation did that God has passed over us.

And you shall tell your son on that day, saying, “It is because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.”… And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying, “What is this?” then you shall say to him, “With a powerful hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of slavery.” EXO 13:8, 14

This is considered to be eating the Passover in a “worthy manner,” to remember what God has done for YOU. Paul gave this same instruction and warning about eating the Lord’s supper (how the Messiah kept the Passover). There, the Messiah linked His redemptive work as the Lamb of God back to the lamb’s blood on the doorposts in Egypt.

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Yeshua in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way He took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes. Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself, if he does not judge the body rightly. For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep. 1CO 11:23-30

As Messianic believers, we are to consider that the Lord has “passed over” us as in Egypt and to see the blood of the Lamb of God covering us, passing us from death to life just as the Messiah said.

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. JOH 5:24

Our belief in the Messiah and receiving His forgiveness is linked to the commandment to remember the Passover and tell our children that we were those “passed over.”

Even Paul speaks of internalizing this commandment when speaking to the Gentiles in Corinth. In his letter to the Corinthians, Paul links the Passover and the exodus to our faith in the Messiah.

Clean out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Messiah our Passover also has been sacrificed. Therefore let us celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 1CO 5:7-8

This is part of the instruction of eating in a “worthy manner” and memorializing properly, but he specifically links their fathers to this instruction so that they will testify to their own children that they were passed over.

For I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea; and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea; and all ate the same spiritual food; and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was the Messiah. 1CO 10:1-4

The Apostle Paul knows that his audience is mainly Greek Gentiles, yet he instructs them to regard the Passover as part of their spiritual testimony. There are no exceptions for the believers of the Messiah. If you believe in Him, then you are part of the original Passover (the original story of redemption). Paul even projects his instruction forward to all succeeding generations, including the last generation at the end of the ages.

Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. 1CO 10:11

For those of you who have begun to keep the Passover in your Messianic faith, I commend you and encourage you to hold to the original instruction and eat it in a “worthy manner.” For those of you who have kept the Passover in this generation for several years, we are now seeing something in our world that should spur us all the more to keep the Passover as the ancients did.

Consider this: The children of Israel were oppressed by Pharaoh and his task masters. It had not always been that way for the Israelites. When Joseph welcomed his father and brothers to the land of Goshen in Egypt, he placed their families in the choicest area of the nation and they prospered and increased. However, the latter generation saw a different Pharaoh who did not remember Joseph. Pharaoh began to oppress the people by making laws against them and forcing them into laborious jobs to control them. Pharaoh feared the children of Israel because they had increased from 70 persons to a small nation and could act in a seditious manner by joining forces with enemies of the state to overcome Pharaoh and his government. From this ancient example we can recognize something taking place in our day.

This year our own government is taking steps against all believers with the same motivation of the ancient Pharaoh. The government already believes that people who are conservative, Bible believers, hold to their Second Amendment rights, and believe in the Second Coming are as dangerous as other religious extremists. President Obama and his task masters (cabinet and administration) have decided that all organizations, even religious ones, must purchase nationalized health insurance which provides non-deductible contraceptives and abortion services. To be completely fair, religious organizations that only employ members of their own faith are exempt. However, those exemptions are rare. What is really at stake are religious organizations like the Catholic Church which own universities and hospitals. There are also many Protestant denominations that own similar institutions. They are now, under penalty of law, forced to financially support contraceptive and abortion services – something they directly oppose because of their religion.

In the past, religious organizations had the freedom to exercise their faith and to abstain from supporting or funding abortions. In fact, there are federal laws extant right now that forbid the federal government from funding abortions. Now, however, the government is looking for ways to diminish strong religious theology to conform to liberal ideology. They are misrepresenting what the New Testament says.

In spite of the federal law, the Obama administration has circumvented the Congress, the courts, the existing law, and the majority opinion of the citizens to force health insurance companies to provide, and others to purchase (required by Obamacare) health insurance, which includes abortion services. This is in sharp contrast to the Constitution, which forbids the government from making any law that infringes on any religion and its free exercise thereof. The Obama administration has taken the stand that the religious organizations are wrong and has decided to force them to conform to his very narrow idea of what is right.

Why has the Obama administration gone to such lengths to force insurance companies and purchasers of insurance to do this? And why has he worked around the Constitution, the Congress, the courts, and the majority of the citizens by using his administrative prerogatives as the President?

Without beating around the bush, I will say it out straight. The government wants to remove God and anything to do with God from the public business. The order of the day is to remove and discredit the values of God and godliness. There is a militant minority urging government leaders to do this and even more. This militant minority is made up of extreme liberal and progressive elements composed of homosexuals, fornicators, the ACLU, communists and socialists, and a mix of unions with a socialist agenda. The Constitution defines separation between the government and religion, but these folks want complete separation FROM anything religious. They want their will to trump the authority higher than the Constitution.

Israel was in Egypt for four generations. It started off well, but by the time God brought Moses to leadership, Israel’s lives were threatened. In the same way, we have watched this godless agenda transition in a single generation from the back alley (far left) to Main Street (center right public). With it has come an open attack on God and God’s people. Homosexuality is now legal and those who oppose it (for religious reasons) are charged with breaking the law. Public prayer is offensive unless it is sanctioned by the government without mentioning the name of the Messiah.

As Isaiah prophesied of the last days, truly we are in those days.

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; who substitute bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! ISA 5:20

How can this happen? It is simple – change the laws and the government. Force the people to keep the laws of godless men instead of the laws of God-fearing men through non-enforcement of Constitutional law and relegating the Constitution as passé. They have argued that the Constitution requires “equal rights” and that everyone has the right to pursue their own version of happiness – “the pursuit of happiness.” Both of these arguments are distorted in the very manner Isaiah described. According to them we are a majority people who believe in God and who suppress others by holding homosexuals in contempt for their behavior and don’t let them have their “happiness” out in the open. In other words, it is not God who has convicted them of sin and laid guilt feelings on them; in their view it is us who have made them feel guilty and kept them from their equal rights and personal happiness. Feeling guilty in their view is not the result of personal sin; it is the harm cast upon them by people who believe in God.

Maybe you are saying that the government’s crackdown on the Catholics is none of your concern. Knowing the history of the holocaust, it should be of great concern for every believer. This is history repeating itself. This is how the holocaust started. This is how the prophecy of the last days and the Great Tribulation is explained to us.

It won’t stop with the Catholics. Think about it for a moment. The Catholics are the largest segment of our nation as professed believers of the Messiah. The government is no longer afraid to take them on. You think the government will think twice in taking on Jewish elements, Protestants, or Messianic Jewish elements? If the government does not reverse its course quickly against the Catholics, then an avalanche of new oppressive regulations and laws will be enacted specifically to deal with all believers of God and this conflict will branch into every element of life. Are you ready to wear identifying marks on your person to warn others that you are a believer of God? Are you ready for special taxes for churches and laws to be targeted at you personally? Don’t tell me that this cannot happen in this country. It already is happening in other countries, and it has been creeping up upon us.

In China, assembling with other believers will get you thrown in prison. Converting to Christianity in Pakistan will get you the death penalty. If you quote from the Old Testament and teach the Torah in Canada you will find yourself guilty of a “hate” crime. Here in the United States, the mass media considers religious leaders and churches to be the scourge of the earth and loves to paint them accordingly, that is, unless you are a minority preacher who is ultra liberal and is known for outrageous antics. We who believe in the “goodness” and “righteousness” of

God are guilty of every imaginable harm throughout history. This is in sharp contrast to President Obama’s testimony of Christ shared at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C. this last February. The President shared how “Christ” has shaped his policies. Had he been a Republican or a conservative, the media would have lambasted him for not separating church and state in policy making. But President Obama has no problem because most people know that he doesn’t really believe in what the Bible says. He was only using it to support his agenda and counter the decisions he made against the Catholics, and the mass media knows it. Since they love his policies and understand the swaying of public opinion, they do his bidding. Our own media is helping to undermine the will of the majority of the citizens in this country. Obviously, we are no longer a real democracy with majority rule backed up by an objective truth-seeking free press. Instead, we are being led around by a small minority of elites backed by the media twisting every event to shape their agenda.

The prophecies of the antimessiah speak directly to the persecution and oppression of the saints in the days of the Great Tribulation. Consider what Yeshua said of our days.

Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations on account of My name. And at that time many will fall away and will deliver up one another and hate one another. MAT 24:9-10

Yeshua was making reference to a prophet who came before Him. That prophet was Daniel, and he was told that an antimessiah would arise and bring great harm in the tribulation.

I kept looking, and that horn [the antimessiah] was waging war with the saints and overpowering them. DAN 7:21

The book of Revelation depicts the days of the Great Tribulation this way.

And when the dragon [satan] saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child. And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Yeshua. REV 12:13,17

By the way, did you know that satan hates God and is opposed to Him? Make no mistake about this conflict we are facing. It is not about social justice, equal rights, or the pursuit of happiness. It is about our enemy satan and his conflict with the One, True, Holy God.

What is the question here for mankind? Is God the author of life, the determiner of right and wrong? Or is mankind-the creation- a god unto themselves able to set the definition of life, to determine what is holy and profane, clean and unclean, right and wrong?

The Scriptures and history have testified to how man has failed every time we have taken on the role of being God. This is the original temptation in the garden from satan himself, for men to become gods.

And the serpent said to the woman, “You surely shall not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” GEN 3:4-5

The modern godless agenda is all about making themselves into gods, the elite making humanistic rules and doing what they think is right and fair instead of following the Creator. When mankind wants to be god or get rid of God, then they have walked away from life and have chosen death.

So, back to keeping Passover... being passed from death to life.

Passover is the story of a generation who escaped the fears of an oppressive leader and nation. Since we are fast approaching similar days, the Passover has much to say to us. We need to be serious about our preparation to keep this feast. Not only has God instructed us to keep it in a “worthy manner,” but our very lives in the future depend on how we keep it.

How exactly does keeping the Passover fit into our future and in God’s plan of deliverance from the persecution and oppression of the Great Tribulation? Consider this scenario for a moment. I am not prophesying, I am offering a thought-provoking scenario based on present-day facts for your consideration.

Let’s say that in this year of 2012, we see a number of significant changes and events unfold but not necessarily in any particular sequence. For example, let’s say that the Pope dies and we have a new Pope. According to Catholic prophecies, there is to be one more Pope before the end of the Catholic Church, which causes great concern among Catholics world-wide.

Let’s say that a new executive council rises within the European Union and that another leader rises in the midst of them. This leader is then assassinated but miraculously brought back (a resurrection) by the new Pope! Both of their popularities increase dramatically world-wide.

Let’s say there is a war in the Middle East. Let’s say that those events have world-wide economic implications and every nation is affected in far-reaching ways. But let’s say that the Middle East war turns out unexpectedly to be a great victory for Israel! Let’s say that the God of Israel shows up for this war and defeats the enemies of Israel (something on the scale of God dealing with Egypt in the ancient exodus). Let’s say that the average person believes there must really be a God of Israel just like the prophets Joel and Ezekiel say they will.

But I will remove the northern army far from you, and I will drive it into a parched and desolate land, and its vanguard into the eastern sea, and its rear guard into the western sea. And its stench will arise and its foul smell will come up, for it has done great things... Thus you will know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and there is no other; and My people will never be put to shame. JOEL 2:20, 27

And I shall send fire upon Magog [the northern army] and those who inhabit the coastlands in safety; and they will know that I am the Lord. My holy name I will make known in the midst of My people Israel; and I will not let My holy name be profaned anymore. And the nations will know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel. EZE 39:6-7

And then let’s say that God decides to declare that Israel is no longer in exile from the land, God announces that He is going to restore Israel, and to bless us all by pouring out His Spirit upon all of us, emboldening us to proclaim His glory and power. Here is how Joel and Ezekiel describe that happening.

It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; and your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. JOEL 2:28-29

Therefore thus says the Lord God, “Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for My holy name. They shall forget their disgrace and all their treachery which they perpetrated against Me, when they live securely on their own land with no one to make them afraid. When I bring them back from the peoples and gather them from the lands of their enemies, then I shall be sanctified through them in the sight of the many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord their God because I made them go into exile among the nations, and then gathered them again to their own land; and I will leave none of them there any longer. I will not hide My face from them any longer, for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,” declares the Lord God. EZE 39:25-29

What do you think the world governments will do when incredible events like this happen? I think it will make them even more hateful and they will harden their hearts against God like Pharaoh in the exodus story when his heart was hardened against the Lord and the children of Israel.

Let’s say that the coming persecution and oppression is accelerated and our very lives and freedoms are threatened.

Let’s go forward with our scenario a bit more. Let’s say that the religious Jews seize a portion of the temple mount, set a corner stone and begin construction of an altar (the first elements of rebuilding the temple). Then, with it built, they dedicate the altar for eight days and begin the daily (tamid) sacrifice of a lamb in the morning and one in the evening along with the grain (meal) and wine (libation) offerings. This results in a great controversy among those of faith. Some argue that this is the proper worship of God (an altar on the temple mount) and others argue that it is an abomination and an affront to the “final sacrifice of the Messiah.” Because of the persecution and oppression of the saints, let’s say that other nations join the controversy and demand that the government of Israel shut down the operating altar that it is offensive to all nations. Meanwhile, God is watching to see who is with Him and His altar.

And there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, “Rise and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and those who worship in it.” REV 11:1

Let’s say that about a year from now, sometime in February of 2013, the government of Israel yields to that pressure from a new leader in Europe who has arisen in the midst of ten rulers and the daily altar service is stopped. Let’s say at that point that a number of believers from all over the world cry out that shutting down the altar and stopping the daily sacrifice is part of the fulfillment of the prophet Daniel and is the start of the Great Tribulation.

And on account of transgression [great sin against God] the host [believers] will be given over to the horn [the antimessiah] along with the regular sacrifice [the daily sacrifice]; and it will fling truth to the ground and perform its will and prosper. DAN 8:12

Let’s say that the religious Jews sit at the base of altar crying out to God because the altar has been stopped.

Gird yourselves with sackcloth, and lament, O priests; wail, O ministers of the altar! Come, spend the night in sackcloth O ministers of my God, for the grain offering and the drink offering are withheld from the house of your God. Consecrate a fast, proclaim a solemn assembly; gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land to the house of the Lord your God, and cry out to the Lord. Alas for the day! For the day of the Lord is near, and it will come as destruction from the Almighty. JOEL 1:13-15

Let’s say that the controversy of the altar being shut down reaches deep into evangelical circles since no rapture has taken place but the “abomination of desolation” has occurred.

Then, thirty days after the altar is shutdown, the new Pope goes to the temple and erects a statue of the new European leader proclaiming that he is the “Savior of the World.” Let’s say this is backed up by a miracle of the statue speaking, demanding the world to accept the new savior. The new ruler accepts the Pope’s endorsement and the apparent confirmation of the miracle of the statue.

Then the king will do as he pleases, and he will exalt and magnify himself above every god, and will speak monstrous things against the God of gods; and he will prosper until the indignation is finished, for that which is decreed will be done. DAN 11:36

Let’s say that two witnesses stand on either side of the shut-down altar declaring God’s impending judgments upon the world. No one wants to hear them but no one can force them to leave. It seems that they are miraculously protected and can project judgment upon those who oppose to them.

And if anyone wants to harm them, fire flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies; so if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way. These have the power to shut up the sky, so that rain will not fall during the days of their prophesying; and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire. REV 11:5-6

So let’s summarize: Israel has won a great regional war that opened the door for the altar to be rebuilt. But now the altar has been shut down and an image has been set up on the temple mount. The antimessiah has come to power for 42 months and is backed by the Pope. While the Holy Spirit has been poured out on all believers, they will be prophesying the same thing. The Abomination of Desolation has occurred and the Great Tribulation is underway for the next 3½ years.

So where does that put you? With those events happening in such a short time frame, will you believe in the fulfillment of the prophecy? Will you believe that we are seeing the signs of the end of these ages and are on the brink of seeing the Messiah return in the days immediately after the tribulation?

Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand)…For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever shall. MAT 24:15, 21

But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. MAT 24:29-30

If you do believe that the events of the end have taken place at that point, then there is one thing you will want to focus on with great diligence. You will know that you and your family are about to experience something that only one other generation has experienced – the exodus. Only this time God will not be delivering His people out of one nation. He will be delivering His people from all of the nations of the world.

How did the ancient exodus begin? Answer: with a Passover.

If you can imagine the scenario that I have laid out for 2012 and the first months of 2013, then you can also consider the Passover of 2013. That Passover would be the difference between life and death. Truly, keeping that Passover would be like being passed from death to life. Once that Passover is completed it is time to leave. It is time to leave the cities and your homes. There is no life for you anymore in Egypt. Life for you will be in the camp of the righteous with the Lord.

The prophets have said there will be another exodus, one far greater than from Egypt.

“Therefore behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when it will no longer be said, ‘As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north and from all the countries where He had banished them.’ For I will restore them to their own land which I gave to their fathers.” JER 16:14-15

The prophet Jeremiah repeats this prophecy and says that the Messiah will be part of it.

“Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I shall raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land. In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘The Lord our righteousness.’ Therefore behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when they will no longer say, ‘As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘As the Lord lives, who brought up and led back the descendants of the household of Israel from the north land and from all the countries where I had driven them.’ Then they will live on their own soil.” JER 23:5-8

The prophet Ezekiel also prophesies of this “greater exodus,” comparing the final generation with the generation that came out of Egypt and with the children who finally entered the land. Whereas, the ancient generation failed to obey the Lord and the generation which entered the land failed to obey the Lord, the final generation is told that they will learn the lessons of the wilderness and truly follow the Lord. Ezekiel specifically prophesies what God will do with the final generation in the greater exodus.

“As I live,” declares the Lord God, “surely with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with wrath poured out, I shall be king over you. I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the lands where you are scattered, with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with wrath poured out; and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face. As I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you,” declares the Lord God. “I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; and I will purge from you the rebels and those who transgress against Me; I shall bring them out of the land where they sojourn, but they will not enter the land of Israel. Thus you will know that I am the Lord. EZE 20:33-38

There will be a judgment upon us while in the exodus. We are going to learn the lessons of the wilderness. We are going to follow the Lord. God knows that all of us have not followed the Lord scattered here in the nations. He knows that we have followed the ways of the nations and not Him. Yet, He is still going to bring us back from the nations, but He also plans on changing our ways when He brings us out of the nations in the greater exodus.

“As for you, O house of Israel,” thus says the Lord God, “Go, serve everyone his idols; but later you will surely listen to Me, and My holy name you will profane no longer with your gifts and with your idols. For on My holy mountain, on the high mountain of Israel,” declares the Lord God, “there the whole house of Israel, all of them, will serve Me in the land; there I will accept them, and there I will seek your contributions and the choicest of your gifts, with all your holy things. As a soothing aroma I will accept you, when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the lands where you are scattered; and I will prove Myself holy among you in the sight of the nations. And you will know that I am the Lord, when I bring you into the land of Israel, into the land which I swore to give to your forefathers. There you will remember your ways and all your deeds with which you have defiled yourselves; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for all the evil things that you have done. Then you will know that I am the Lord when I have dealt with you for My name's sake, not according to your evil ways or according to your corrupt deeds, O house of Israel,” declares the Lord God. EZE 20:39-44

The Greater Exodus begins with a future Passover. It will be the Passover immediately following the start of the Great Tribulation. We will have our own Pharaoh (the antimessiah) and our own wilderness (the wilderness of the people – outside the cities of all nations). Instead of years in the wilderness, it will be months. Instead of dying in the wilderness, we will make it through to see the Promised Land and the Messiah’s Kingdom. In the final days of darkness, we will have light. While the world struggles for water and food, we will drink clean waters from springs provided by the Rock of our Salvation and eat manna (the true bread from heaven) once again.

As we prepare for Passover 2012, let us be mindful of the instructions. Let us internalize His instructions, see ourselves passed from death to life, and eat it in a worthy manner. Let us be mindful that although it seems that believers have been safe for generations, our world is changing rapidly all around us as the prophecies have foretold. Let us prepare our hearts for the days ahead by keeping the memorial of Passover, teaching our children that we were passed over and that they too will be passed over by God’s powerful judgment and be provided deliverance.
